Encouragement from and enthusiasm of our esteemed donors motivated the Trust to plan a new initiative “SAHIYAR”. In 2019, based on the ground level status report received from social worker attached to the trust regarding lack of hygienic inner wears in school going girls in remote rural areas, the Trust thought it fit to plan a Swacchta (Cleanliness) & Swasthya (Health) intervention for girls studying in village schools around Nasvadi Taluka area. This was a new experience & experiment for the Trust. The idea was enthusiastically received by our donors & well wishers. A corpus was raised in a short time for the activity. One of our well wisher volunteered to supply good quality inner wears for the project at cost.
In the first phase we provided good quality Inner Garments to approximately 1200 girls studying in Standard 5 to Standard 8 in villages of Nasvadi Tilakvada area.
This is a humble beginning & we shall cover more village schools as per availability of funds. This is aimed at improving the health of the beneficiaries & inculcating the message of Cleanliness.
In this endeavour M/s MSA Ethos Apparels Pvt. Ltd. Has supported us by providing quality garments AT COST.
Smt. Sudhaben Shyam Parikh, a Social Worker, has helped us in managing the field work of the project.
