About Us
“Dardi Sahayak”, the words in Gujarati connote “helpful to patient” and that is precisely the motto of this trust based in Vadodara.
Dardi Sahayak Trust is largely the result of the untiring efforts Late Shri Suresh Shah, who after retiring as an industrialist diverted his boundless energy towards paying his dues to the Society. Shri Suresh Shah envisioned an organization, which would fulfill the function of providing medical and financial support to needy patients. The Trust started its activities in 1994.

The Trust is currently managed by a team of selfless citizens who provide their Honorary Services to achieve the trust’s objectives. The team currently consists of
Vision
The Trust envisions expansion of its services in all the areas of its activities based on availability of funds.
- The Trust is currently providing medical relief to needy patients in accordance with the parameters laid out for the same. The Trust is getting numerous requests for such medical relief support, which it is constrained to refuse because of limited funding available to it.
- The Trust would like to expand it scholarship program and double the number of students it is supporting based on availability of additional funds
- The Trust intends to expand the distribution of food kits to needy families by providing them basic food items such as oil, cereals, pulses etc on a monthly basis.
- The Toy Library project is providing an Edutainment avenue for young minds & the Trust would like to see this activity being offered to more number of aanganvadis.
- Project Sahiyar is a promising intervention that the Trust envisages expanding to many diverse rural areas of adjoining talukas & districts.
